Structural steel in the home had started to form corrosion.
SCOPE
Check scaffold access and immediate access to surfaces requiring repair
Prepare surface by pressure wash, abrasive blast, mechanical cleaning, needle gun, bristle blast and orbital sand to feather paint edges to obtain 50μm profile on all surfaces
Install plastic to all paved and walkway areas.
Application of RS 500P and RA 500M in 3 coats where required.
OUTCOME
Chemcote were able to work on the exposed structural steel to remove the corrosion that had formed, to extend the life with a glass flake coating.
