Secondary containment and concrete bunds are susceptible to exposure to different chemicals and processes. Chemcote Specialty Coatings provide long-term chemical-resistant solutions against many of these using chemical-resistant coatings. Most chemicals in storage will require some sort of secondary containment by law.
Chemicals are measured on a pH scale of 0-14. A pH of 7 is neutral. 0-6 is acidic and 8-14 is alkaline.
Different solutions are required for different chemicals and their pH value. Chemcote can match the right product to the right environment. One coating does not suit every chemical so it is critical to select the right product.
The areas that we have provided chemical protection are pump bases, chemical drains, concrete plinths, bund areas, spill areas, loading docks and refilling stations. We have also had a lot of success coating pump volutes and impellers.
In the gallery at the bottom of this page, we provided a protective coating solution for the storage tank and the secondary containment. The storage tank was abrasive blasted to provide the optimum surface preparation. The tank was stripe-coated, primed and top-coated. The project was completed on time and far exceeded the client’s expectations.
The gallery below also shows a distillery. Chemcote have protective coatings that are suitable for food, beverage, wine and alcohol. The distillery were requiring a secondary coating for their concrete bunded area. The project was completed to the highest standards and the client was extremely please with the results.
